STEAM education for sustainable development

addressing un 2030 agenda

STEAM education is essential if Africa is to achieve sustainability.

allSTEAM Education for Sustainable Africa program aims to create an educational environment where students, teachers, schools, communities, and government institutions are equipped with the values and motivations to take action for sustainability in their lives, within their communities, as well as on a global scale, now and in the future.

We are increasingly asking if what people learn is genuinely relevant to their lives if what they learn helps to ensure the survival of our planet. Education for Sustainable Development can provide the knowledge, awareness, and action that empower people to transform themselves and transform societies

Stefania Giannini, Assistant Director-General for Education, UNESCO
